Alina Loewenich - Recorder | Art Direction
Alina Loewenich was born in Troisdorf (GER) in 1990. In 2015 she started her studies with Prof. Carsten Eckert at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Künste in Vienna and finished her concert diploma with distinction in summer 2019. Before, she studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne where she complemented her major in recorder with the Bachelor degree courses in Instrumental Pedagogy and Elementary Music Pedagogy, where she completed all three studies with distinction as well.
Alina Loewenich won numerous prizes in international competitions: As a soloist, she won the second prize at the Nordhorn Recorder Competition 2019 (GER).
Alina Loewenich has received a number of scholarships, such as by the Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Stiftung in 2015, presenting herself as a soloist together with the Französische Kammerphilharmonie in the concert series Sommer-Schlösser–Virtuosen (GER), as well as participating as a solo artist in the Christmas concerts together with the Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen (GER).
In addition, she gave concerts at numerous festivals, for instance the Festival for Early Music Cologne, the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, the Grafenegg Festival a.o. and has performed live on the German radio station WDR 3 „Tonart“.
Through masterclasses and additional lessons she was taught and influenced by Dorothee Oberlinger, Maurice Steger, Walter van Hauwe, Maurizio Pisati, Giovanni Antonini, Kristian Bezuidenhout and other specialists of historical performance practice and contemporary music.
Since autumn 2019, Alina Loewenich studies the Master of Music in Interpretation of Contemporary Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne with Prof. Smeyers.
