Friederike Vollert - Recorder

 
 

Friederike Vollert, born 1993 in Nürnberg (Germany) studied recorder with Prof. Myriam Eichberger at
Musikhochschule „Franz Liszt“ in Weimar and continued her studies at Universität der Künste, Berlin,

together with Susanne Fröhlich and Prof. Christoph Huntgeburth. She finished her Masters degree in
2021 with distinction.

She recieved a number of scholarships during her musical education, such as by the Ernst- Freiberger-
Stiftung, Carin Riesen Stiftung, Hans und Eugenia Jütting Stiftung and was a member of the YEHUDI

MENUHIN Live Music Now e.V.
As a soloist, Friederike Vollert won numerous prizes in international competitions including the “EUBO
Development trust prize” as the “most promising European artist“ at the famous „Musica Antiqua
Competition 2017“ in Bruges and a second prize at the „Recorder Festival Nordhorn 2017“. Friederike Vollert is a member of the ensemble Weimar Baroque and plays as a guest with a various
number of chamber music groups and orchestras, e.g. Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Cantus &
Capella Thuringia, Ensemble 1648, The Playfords, DSO Berlin, Staatskapelle Weimar, Nürnberger
Philharmoniker. She performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician at festivals as the Thüringer Bachwochen, Leipziger Bachfest, Kurt-Weill-Festspiele Dessau or Bach Biennale Weimar.
Early music from the renaissance and baroque period, contemporary compositions and improvisation
are equally part of her repertoire. In addition, Friederike Vollert has a strong connection to interdisciplinary collaborations: beside boundaries between different styles and genres, she is always
looking for the manifold ways of expression and experimented in projects in the context of puppet
theatre, opera or dancing.
